We started in 2025 with just two founders working out of a converted beach house in Del Mar, with surfboards stacked in the corner of our makeshift office. As our team grew, we needed more space and moved to a proper office in La Jolla near UCSD. Being close to the university helped us connect with great researchers and stay up to date with the latest AI developments. San Diego's tech community has been incredibly supportive as we've grown.
Our team is a mix of UCSD grads and industry veterans who got tired of the Bay Area rat race. We're engineers who love solving hard problems, researchers who geek out about AI, and designers who make sure our products actually make sense to use.
We're not into the whole 80-hour workweek thing. Our best ideas come when we're well-rested and excited about what we're building. Sometimes that means coding on the beach, sometimes it means intense whiteboarding sessions. We trust our team to figure out what works best for them.
San Diego's tech scene is smaller than SF or LA, but that's changing. We regularly hang out at UCSD tech meetups, help local startups figure out their AI strategy, and work with other San Diego companies to build a stronger tech community here.
